Don't feel like cooking? It's an easy 10 minute drive or bus ride to Progresso, which offers many fine restaurants across from the ocean on the malecon. Watch the cruise ships come in or do a little after dinner shopping.
The cultural mecca of Merida, which is capital city of the state of Yucatan and known as "The White City" - only 30 minutes away - offers museums, fine dining and beautiful architecture.
