Welcome to Hyannisport Hideaway – a lovely 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom house, tucked away from the Cape’s summer hustle and bustle on a quiet cul-de-sac in the historic village of Hyannisport. Surrounded by mature greenery, set away from the street, with large back and front yards, this home will be your personal Cape Cod haven! Tastefully appointed with a touch of nautical motif, equipped with all of the appliances you have come to expect, Hyannisport Hideaway will make your stay on Cape Cod pleasant and fun.
The house features 3 sunny bedrooms (1 queen, 2 twins or 1 king, and 1 double bed), a large modern kitchen/dining room combo and a spacious living room. The twin beds can be configured into a king size bed with the help of a twin-doubler and a king memory foam mattress pad, making the house suitable for either families or two couples traveling together.
Hyannisport Hideaway is aptly named – there’s a large front and back yard and both are very secluded. Due to its location on a cul-de-sac and the fact that there is almost no traffic in the area, the location is very peaceful and serene. The living room opens up directly onto the porch, bring the outdoors within.
Situated just under a mile from the famous Craigville Beach, your stay at Hyannisport Hideaway will be enhanced by its proximity to this wonderful warm Nantucket Sound beach with 5 miles of sand. It is one of the largest and most popular on Cape Cod. The water is a very pleasant temperature until early September, and the gentle swells are refreshing compared to more placid Cape waters. It is generally free of seaweed and rocks, as well. There are lifeguards and bathhouses in season, and you can always catch a game of volleyball. The long beach and foamy surf make for beautiful walks in quieter seasons.
We will provide you with a free beach-parking pass that will allow you to park your car at all of the Town of Barnstable Beaches. That includes amazing Sandy Neck beach with a lighthouse, 9,000-acre preserve with dunes, bird life, marshes, and shellfish (but a bit of a drive at 10 miles). Covell Beach, Keys Beach, Veterans Beach, Kalmus Beach (great for wind surfing) are all less than 2 miles from our home.
After spending the day enjoying your seaside adventures, you will return to a tranquil home that will welcome you with its quiet pleasures. Experience the delight of la dolce vita in this well-appointed home and grounds! Have your morning coffee on the sun-drenched porch, rest in the shady front yard, cook up your fresh catch on the grill, relax with a book or play a game with your family! For those who need to keep in touch with the office or surf the web during downtime, high speed wireless access is available free of charge.
The kitchen is fully applianced, including dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffemaker, blender, and all of requisite pots, pans, dinnerware and flatware. We will provide you with a high quality 100% cotton European bed linen and fluffy towels. There's hair dryer, iron, paper products to make your packing easier. No need to drag your beach towels and chairs on vacation with you – we will supply those as well. Leave room for your purchases – Cape Cod Mall is less than 4 miles away!
While Hyannisport Hideaway is sheltered from the energy and noise of Cape in summer, it’s a quick drive (less than 2 miles) to the vibrant Main St in Hyannis – home to the Kennedy Museum, numerous restaurants, ice cream parlors, bookshops, boutiques, a carousel, and family amusement centers. Enjoy Thursday night parade or listen to live music in one of the pubs. Take a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket, catch a whale-watching cruise out of Barnstable Harbor, a deep sea fishing expedition from Hyannis, take a drive along Old King’s Highway and do a little antiquing, catch a game of golf at any of the nearby golf courses or just enjoy the sea breeze in the backyard. Whatever is your idea of summer fun on the Cape, Hyannisport Hideaway can make your stay more memorable!
The house is not toddler proof, but well-behaved school age children are welcome.
The rental period is Saturday to Saturday during high and shoulder season, shorter rentals possible November - April.
No Smoking, please. One dog is welcome at an additional charge from September to May. No Pets June-August.
